Man City ace Jack Grealish blasted for 'disrespectful antics' by furious Fluminense star

Felipe Melo, a star for Fluminense, lost his cool with Jack Grealish during Manchester City’s victory in the Club World Cup on Friday.

Felipe Melo, a defender for Fluminense, called Manchester City’s Jack Grealish “disrespectful” for his alleged antics during the team’s 4-0 defeat in the Club World Cup final. In Saudi Arabia, Pep Guardiola’s team added to their glistening trophy cabinet, but not without controversy.

Although City easily won, Grealish was charged with jesting at a supposedly weaker Brazilian team in Jeddah by yelling “olé” during the game.

At the final siren, Melo got into an altercation with Kyle Walker, Grealish’s teammate, after the game because the 40-year-old former star of Juventus and Inter Milan didn’t agree with some of the remarks made by City’s players.

“I’ve already seen idiots on social media saying that I started a mess,” Melo said to reporters in Brazil. “Just as the fools claimed that my goal, which Gremio scored (for the Brasileirao), was the beginning of the mess.” I approached the player who was having fun with their supporters during the Gremio game with composure. And in the end, they made a mess. Furthermore, I wanted no mess.

Grealish treated the Fluminense institution disrespectfully today, and I will never allow that to continue. He was yelling “olé” when the game was about to end. The fans may yell “olé”; this is for them. An athlete cannot treat the institution disrespectfully while competing.

“So, to all of the moron journalists who have already claimed that I incited unrest, let me clarify that I went to defend Martinelli when he was cornered by this athlete, not to cause confusion. I would repeat the process. I’m a fighter.

Moments after City won the world title, footage seemed to show Melo approaching Walker and starting a fight before Grealish intervened to break them up.

Shortly after, Walker took the podium to raise the Club World Cup trophy on behalf of City, replacing the absent captain Kevin De Bruyne, and winning the team’s fifth trophy of 2023.

In the second minute, Julian Alvarez gave City the lead with an unusual chested finish, starting the proceedings. Their lead was doubled by an own goal from Nino, and they went on to win thanks to goals from Phil Foden and Alvarez in the second half. The game ended in a furious manner when Melo called for “disrespectful antics” from Grealish.

I’m not only afraid of Him, I’m scared already,if Arteta should start Him tomorrow then I’m finished”,Pep Guardiola reveal the ONE Arsenal player that will be a threat to their defense tomorrow – Not Saka and Not Martinelli

Not only am I terrified of Him, but I’m scared now. If Arteta begins with Him tomorrow, I’m done. The ONE Arsenal player Pep Guardiola believes poses a threat to their defense tomorrow is revealed. Not Martinelli, nor Saka

It is not anticipated that Arsenal will have any new injury concerns for their crucial Premier League match on Sunday against Manchester City.

Thursday night in their Champions League debut in Italy, the Gunners drew 0-0 with Atalanta and emerged victorious.

When asked on Friday morning if he was concerned about any new injuries, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, replied, “Not really.”

“Recover, sleep, eat well, and everyone is looking forward to the match [on Sunday] right away after the match.”

Given that he will be missing five first-team players for Sunday’s match at Etihad Stadium, Arteta will be happy with that.

Declan Rice has returned from his one-match suspension following the team’s victory over Tottenham in the North London derby last weekend. Kieran Tierney, Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all sidelined with injuries.

Odegaard’s injury is especially devastating because Arteta confirmed this week that Arsenal will be without their crucial captain for “a while” because of an ankle injury he sustained earlier this month while playing for Norway in the international arena that is now considered “significant.”

In place of Odegaard during the match against Atalanta, Kai Havertz played in midfield and is probably going to do so again on Sunday.

After preserving yet another clean sheet in Italy, the defense is anticipated to remain the same for the fifth straight game, but Arteta has a choice over who will play in front of them.

In the Champions League, Thomas Partey had a difficult time. He gave up a penalty, which resulted in a brilliant double save by David Raya. Before the hour, Jorginho replaced him.

Gabriel Jesus also had a rough night and was replaced earlier than expected by Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal’s predicted lineup (4-3-3) is Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Timber, Havertz, Partey, Rice, Saka, Trossard, and Martinelli.

None at all

The following players are injured: Tomiyasu (knee), Tierney (hamstring), Odegaard (ankle), and Zinchenko (calf).

Location: Etihad Stadium

Michael Oliver served as the referee.

The Arsenal starting lineup is as follows: Havertz, Jorginho, Lewis-Skelly, Nwaneri, Partey, Rice; Jesus, Martinelli, Saka, Sterling, and Trossard; Neto, Raya; Calafiori, Gabriel, Heaven, Kiwior, Saliba, Timber, and White.

Having played with Him for years now,I know what He can offer to the team,I seriously don’t know why He choose this wrong path of career to join Man United despite my warning”, Rodri confirmed His £50m have Snubbed Man city offer to join Man United this week

I’ve played with him for years, so I know what he can provide to the team. However, I sincerely don’t understand why, in spite of my caution, He chose to join Man United on the wrong career path. Rodri stated this week that he turned down Man City’s offer of £50 million to join Manchester United.

Manchester United could add more players before the August 30 deadline, having had a successful summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail reports that the Red Devils have made an offer for Sander Berge of Burnley. The team is reportedly looking for a new defensive midfielder.

Their offer, though, is less than the £30 million the Clarets were willing to pay for the 26-year-old.

Berge may start at United in place of Scott McTominay.
Clubs in Europe and the Premier League are very interested in McTominay. Although Napoli is one of the midfielder’s fans, the Daily Mail claims that Napoli is just interested in a loan agreement.

According to reports, the 26-year-old would rather remain in the Premier League. Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, and Fulham are reportedly in contention to sign him, according to The Sun.

United and Fulham resumed negotiations lately. Because of their sustained interest, the Cottagers are probably going to outbid their previous £20 million offer and end up as the favourites to recruit him.

Berge is most likely the man United is considering to replace him. Although it would be perfect for them to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain, the £51 million asking price is a roadblock.

Berge performed admirably in the Premier League the previous season and was awarded Burnley’s Player of the Season.

He won 4.8 duels per game and had an 89 percent passing accuracy. The Norwegian averaged 2.1 tackles, 5.5 recoveries, and was taken out of the game fewer than seven times per game.

With his superior ball retention abilities, Berge would be an improvement over Casemiro, but he will need to reduce his sporadic mistakes.

Last season, he committed two mistakes that resulted in goals. One of those was in an April 1-1 tie at Old Trafford against United.

The departure of McTominay might open the door for a stronger offer for Berge. United might be prepared to pay more of the asking price.
